- Wayfinding & environment
Lloyds Banking Group has undergone a major transformation programme across its UK workplace portfolio and key international locations.
The experience needed to be consistent and recognisable across different environments, while remaining relevant to the people who used them every day.
Lloyds has a strong, well-established brand and a clear sense of purpose, culture and community that they wanted their workplaces to reflect. The challenge was to translate that into physical environments that felt immersive, intuitive and meaningful, helping people orient themselves from day one, from front door to desk, shared spaces to everyday essentials.
The ambition was to create a workplace experience that felt unmistakably Lloyds, reflected the pride people felt in the organisation and made sense immediately in daily use.
agency4D worked alongside the Lloyds Banking Group workplace design team, supporting and extending their in-house capability.
Before anything moved into physical delivery, we supported a dedicated concept phase focused on ideation, exploration and narrative building. This allowed us to explore how the Lloyds brand could be experienced more immersively within the workplace and establish a clear creative direction for its expression in physical space.
Building on Lloyds Banking Group’s workplace strategy, we supported the development of accessible iconography to improve clarity and inclusivity, ensuring wayfinding language and symbols felt intuitive and human.
The resulting graphic language was carried through materiality, light and crafted brand moments, creating a recognisable thread across the workplace without dominating the environment.
